You Cannot Hurt Her… She’s Already Broken (Lyrics)
Broken is the 5th track on the record but I had recorded PlugRut (the 7th) before… just because we wanted to put out a 3 song EP and wanted to include PlugRut on it.
As the title of the track of the record… you know it is gonna be big. When I first met Schrecker, Zasta and Jon at Moonbabe Studio… Schrecker asked me what I had already heard. He presses play on the console and I listened to what seemed to be a frickin’ 12 minute song. A mammoth epic piece of music over 7 minutes long with numerous parts, textures and moods.
For the recording of the album I had been using my orange sunburst 5 string Music Man bass but I had just bought a new bitch… same thing as the other one except for the color. This one was cherry red with a black pickguard. The sound was much bigger, rounder and tighter with this bass because I had it set up with a thicker gauge of strings and wow… what a difference!
I find the main riff of this song so infectious. In the live show we extend the middle part of the song and Schrecker and Jon do a dual guitar solo… really cool, and it revolves all around the main riff. This song will really take you in all sorts of places.
Broken
Lyrics by Schrecker
Everything is tired
Tired of blood
Night sings we must…
Die
Soaked in blood
You all deserve the worm
To dust return
It’s so cold
This temple is a tomb
This temple is a broken tomb
But you won’t try to change at all.I love the dirt and filth of this world I live in
She won’t forgive you
You won’t get over it
You’re pain is her pleasure
AND you cannot hurt her
She’s already broken.
We are slaves
Talk, sick, of love
And poisoned us.
You were right
Oooo
Biomachines
Don’t need to dream
Of blood soaked hands
Or annihilation.We’re paying full price
For a slow death.
I stand in wonder
Under ashen skies
So close you could touch them
Nail us up to die
U, me and love
U, me and hate
Human ‘til the end
Chained to the graveYou can’t hurt me
I’m already brokenYou were right!!!
Night sings we must die
A slow death.
